3. Added a new page named “Email Newsletters” which contain a list of all the email newsletters we have sent out so far.

4. Added our physical address by using Google Maps and the contact peoples’ phone number for this fellowship.

5. Added a “site meta” menu that provides an opportunity for our website visitors to register and comment on the content we post.

6. We have added an “address” field to all our mailing list members. So kindly update your details from the link at the bottom of our newsletter each week.

7. Biggest change of all…We have shifted from our old domain “www.nazarenepf.co.cc” to “www.just4god.com” (Don’t worry all the previous links will automatically/automagically get transferred to our new domain).

Rescue Helicopter & Love Letter Toons

Our God is a God of justice, but also a God of mercy. Through the blood of Jesus, God’s mercy is available to us now. It is up to us to decide to accept it. We don’t want to be camping out in “Sin Forest” when judgment time comes.

When we show love to our neighbors, we become like a love letter to them from Jesus.

Love Them Like Jesus – Lyrics & Video

The love of her life is drifting away
They’re losing the fight for another day
The life that she’s known is falling apart
A fatherless home, a child’s broken heart

You’re holding her hand, you’re straining for words
You trying to make – sense of it all
She’s desperate for hope, darkness clouding her view
She’s looking to you

The Global Day of Prayer!

The Global day of Prayer was founded by South African businessman Graham Power in 2000. Each year, the event spread to more African countries until it spread globally in 2005. It is an ecumenical Christian event and involves 10 days of prayer before the Western Christian observance of Pentecost (beginning with Ascension Day) and 90 days of prayer after Pentecost.

The Year 2010 is the 10th Year of this event and is celebrated around the world in more than 240 Nations. So @ Nazarene Prayer Fellowship, we would like to celebrate this special day of Prayer with our dear brothers and sisters on 23 May 2010, at 6 PM in the Nazarene Church. You can view the contact information on our weekly newsletter which you can sign up using this form or from “our vision” page.

Message by Rev. James Ananda Kumar

Last week Rev. James Ananda Kumar spoke about the significance of prayer for an individual as well as for fellowship to grow in spiritually. He reminded us that, when we pray in one accord with one heart we can see the miracles.

Colossians 4:2 tells us “Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving;” when we pray If we follow these three ways we see the miracles of God. Colossians 4:12; Thessalonians 5:16-18; Luke 18:1 tells us to pray fervently, without ceasing or grieving, for this is the will of God. Hence prayer is a communion between God and man. It brings victory, making us more than conquerors (Romans 8:37). Prayer changes our lives and situations. The first Church was born after praying( On Pentecost)).. Apostle Paul describes in Hebrew 4:14-16 that we have a great high priest Jesus, the son of God and we need to boldly pray at his throne of grace. Through prayer God reveals many things (Acts 22:17). And he is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (psalm 46:1)…Continue Reading

Pastor gave the example of Daniel, who prayed not for himself but for Jerusalem (Daniel 9:20). He was presenting all the supplications by confessing sins on behalf of his people. Then the angel of God came to him in swift flight to give him wisdom and understanding . Our God is a prayer answering God and His grace is beyond our understanding. In a church we can see three kinds of people. 1. Carnal. 2.Natural. 3. Spiritual. Carnal and natural people pray but they do not believe. Spiritual people pray and believe.

Finally, Pastor has ended his sermon by giving Jacob’s example from Genesis 32:24 -31. He showed us five things that Jacob brought before God at Penile.

1. V/s 22-23 says, Jacob came before God by emptying himself. He became zero before God. (Mark 10:28-31)-emptiness

2. V/s 24 says, he came alone to his presence. He was left alone. A lonely heart. (Isaiah 51:2)- loneliness

3. V/s 25 says, he came with a broken heart and pleads the god to bless him. God struck him on his thigh (the strongest part of the body) and all his pride and selfishness has gone. -brokenness

4. V/s 26 says, he came with a great repentance. He wrestled with God for blessings as he knew that blessing would only come from Him. (Hosea 12:3-4)- repentance

5. V/s 27-28 says, God asked his name and he answered “Jacob” (deceitful). He did not lie and then God gave him a new name Israel and through him the entire nation received blessings. –truthfulness

In v/s 31, it is described as “then the Sun rose”, a new beginning to his new life in truth with God.

So we need to realize this is the time to bow down our knees at the feet of Jesus and pray for a change for our lives and welcome him, the Holy Spirit into our hearts.

Finally, appeal was made to introspect ourselves and challenged us with a question “How much time are we spending with God?”

Failure Is Not Final

BIBLE MEDITATION:

Psalm 31:23 – “O love the Lord, all ye His saints: for the Lord preserveth the faithful.”

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:

Ty Cobb and Babe Ruth were two of the greatest baseball players of all time. Ty Cobb was known for his record number of stolen bases, and Babe Ruth was known for his record number of home runs. What you may not know is that Ty Cobb was also thrown out more than any other man in baseball trying to steal bases. And Babe Ruth struck out more than any other man in baseball! These fellows didn’t let their failures stop them, and neither should you! Fix your goal. Face your faults. Forget your failures. Failure in the Christian life is not final.

ACTION POINT:

Maybe you or someone you know is feeling discouraged today. Remind them or yourself of the promise in Philippians 4:13.

The Fire of Affliction

BIBLE MEDITATION:

Romans 8:18 – “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:

God wants to build spiritual steel and rock-solid faith into you. And the way He will do this is through the fires of affliction. Why? To test you. The faith that can’t be tested, can’t be trusted. The times I have grown the most were not when everything was going fine. The times when we go through sorrow, pressure, and trouble are the growing pains of our lives with Christ. Isn’t that true? Someone wrote these lines, “I walked a mile with pleasure. She chatted all the way. But left me none the wiser, for all she had to say. I walked a mile with sorrow and not a word said she. But oh, the things I learned from her, when sorrow walked with me.”

ACTION POINT:

Are you in the fire of affliction? Trust that He will see you through and make you stronger when the test is over.

Real Faith: What It Is and What It’s Not

BIBLE MEDITATION:
Romans 5:1 – “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
It’s faith that enables us to live the Christian life. In order to know what faith is, let me tell you what faith is not. Faith is not a hunch. Nor is it positive thinking. Faith is not responding to emotions, feelings, or icicles up and down your spine or miracles, signs and wonders. Faith is not believing that God can do something. Faith is knowing that God will. Faith is taking God at His word. Real faith dies to doubt. It is dumb to discouragement. It is blind to impossibilities. Now this is the kind of faith we need.

ACTION POINT:
What kind of faith do you have? Do you have the faith that is small as a mustard seed, but can move a mountain? Ask God for it today.

Not Ashamed of the Gospel of Christ by Adrian Rogers

BIBLE MEDITATION:

Romans 1:16 – “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth.”

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:

Are you ashamed to put a Bible on your desk at work? Are you ashamed to bow your head in the cafeteria? Are you ashamed to invite people to Jesus Christ? Are you ashamed of the One who died for you? A little boy had a dog, and somebody asked him what kind of dog he was. He was just a mongrel, but the little fellow said, “Well, he’s a police dog.” The friend said, “He doesn’t look like a police dog.” The little guy replied, “He’s in the secret service.” I’m afraid that there are many of us who are in the secret service. We ought to be open and bold for the gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

ACTION POINT:

Ask God to lead you out in strength and boldness today to live for Him and proclaim His love to others.

A Strong Tower – Joyful Toons

Strong Tower (Proverbs 18:10)

The name of the Lord is Jesus. Through the name of Jesus we are protected from the enemy.
